Concept (theme ID 2412) is a minimal, design-forward theme used by 50+ fashion, accessories, and lifestyle brands. It ships with a tight grid layout, clean typography, and a focus on letting product photography do the work. Like every Shopify theme, Concept caps you at one image per variant natively. A jacket in 5 colors with 3 photos each shows all 15 photos in one gallery, regardless of color selection.
Rubik Variant Images has dedicated detection code for Concept’s gallery component. It assigns multiple media items per variant, filters the gallery on selection, and replaces Concept’s swatch picker with richer visual options. Works through Shopify’s app embed system.

Switch Themes architecture
Concept is built by Switch Themes. The theme uses a custom slider implementation that can interact unpredictably with apps that don’t have dedicated detection code. Rubik handles Concept specifically: when a customer picks a different variant, the slider rebuilds with the variant’s images cleanly.
Tight grid layout
Concept’s collection grid is dense by design. Smaller swatch sizes work better than the defaults to avoid bleeding into adjacent cards.

Does Rubik break Concept’s gallery slider?
No. Rubik has dedicated detection code for Concept’s slider implementation by Switch Themes. The gallery continues working as expected.
Will Concept theme updates break Rubik?
No. Rubik installs through Shopify’s app embed system. Theme updates do not affect app embeds.
Can I use it with Combined Listings?
Yes. Both apps work on Concept. Variant Images filters the per-variant gallery; Combined Listings handles cross-product navigation.
Does it slow down the page?
No measurable hit. Variant data is metafield-based.
